A American based Sikh group has filed a criminal case against Amitabh Bachchan in Australia for his claimed part in November 1984 anti-Sikh riots. The offender claim against Big B has been filed with Australia’s Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions by Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), the American based human rights group declared Tuesday.
In the claim on behalf of widows, sufferers, and survivors of November 1984 anti-Sikh assaults, SFJ has been accompanied by National 1984 Victims Justice and Welfare Society and All India Sikh Students Federation. Big B is presently in Australia to get an honorary degree from Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane. He’s also filming for the Hollywood movie “The Great Gatsby” co-starring Leonardo DiCaprio in Australia.
Australia’s Criminal Code Act 1995 provides Australian court’s legal system in scenarios connected with crimes against mankind whether or not the offence was dedicated in Australia, said SFJ lawful consultant Gurpatwant Singh Pannun.
